Technology in Education ED270 April 24, 2015 iPad/GoogleTours

We discussed how we could incorporate iPads in the classroom using iMovie. I would’ve never thought about making videos in the classroom. Students can use an iPad to make presentations, videos, and watch their actions/work. For an example, iPads can be used to record what you see under the microscope. What an advanced technology we have these days! The iMovie app on the computer as well as the iPad is very easy to work with. On the iPad, it has templates and music already set up for you with certain length of clips, so students wouldn’t have to take a long time to actually make a movie.

As for GoogleTours, students can make a tour and place a “pin” on the destination. They can include information and pictures to their GoogleTour presentation. This would be a great way for the students to actually get an idea of what the destination looks like and to include facts about that particular place. For an example, a student may do the top five national parks on a continent or they could compare different continents with each other. This would be a great visual aid for the student doing the project and for the students who are actively listening/watching.
